How to Add a Facecam Frame in OBS

A facecam frame is a PNG with a transparent middle that sits over your camera in OBS. The steps: add the camera, add the frame above it, crop the camera to fill the opening, and group the two.
Steps
- Camera: Sources → + → Video Capture Device, and pick your camera.
- Frame: Sources → + → Image, and choose the frame file. Make sure the frame sits above the camera in the list.
- Size: scale the camera down until it covers the frame's opening completely.
- Crop: hold Alt while dragging the camera's edges to crop the excess instead of stretching the picture.
- Group: select the camera and the frame together, right-click → Group Selected Items, so you can move and resize them as one piece.
A frame that isn't rectangular
If the opening is round or has curved corners, add an Image Mask/Blend filter to the camera with a mask image in the same shape as the opening, so the camera's corners never show outside the frame.
Tips
- Place the frame where it won't cover game info such as the minimap or ammo.
- Reuse the same group in every gameplay scene with Add Existing, so you edit it in one place.
