How to Add Alerts to Your Kick Stream

Kick doesn't add alerts to your stream on its own: viewers see exactly what you send from OBS. So you add alerts through an alert tool connected to your Kick account or to a donation page, put the tool's alert link in OBS as a Browser Source, and upload your alert file in the tool's settings.
Two kinds of alerts
- Kick's own events such as follows, subscriptions and gifted subs need a tool that connects to your Kick account, such as Botrix. Check the tool's list of supported events, since it changes as Kick updates.
- Donations through a tip page: Streamlabs and StreamElements tip pages don't depend on the platform, so when someone donates through the page, the alert plays on your Kick stream just as it would anywhere else.
Steps
- Pick your tool, then connect your Kick account or create your tip page.
- In the alert settings, upload the alert file (a transparent-background WEBM) and set its duration and volume.
- Copy the alert link (Widget URL).
- In OBS: Sources → + → Browser, and paste the link at 1920×1080.
- Try the tool's test alert before you go live.
- Put your tip page link in your Kick channel bio or a chat command, so viewers know how to support you.

Tips for Kick
- Keep the alert readable on a phone screen: a large share of stream viewers watch on mobile.
- Match the length to the event: a full-screen alert for donations, a shorter one for follows so it doesn't cover the game too often.
- Keep the alert's sound a little louder than the game and quieter than your voice.
